The iHealth Alliance is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to protect the interests of patients and providers, as healthcare increasingly moves online. The iHealth Alliance governs the Health Care Notification Network (HCNN) and will ensure that the network is used only for patient safety alerts.
The iHealth Alliance is chaired by Nancy W. Dickey, M.D., past President of the AMA, President of Health Science Center and Vice Chancellor for Health Affairs for Texas A&M University.
The iHealth Alliance Board of Directors is comprised of industry leaders from medical societies, liability carriers, patient advocacy groups and others dedicated to protecting the interest of patients and providers.

Dennis L. Myers M.D. is the Director of Medical Informatics at Scott and White Clinic and Hospital, Temple Texas. Scott and White is the principal clinical teaching facility for Texas A&M University College of Medicine, and Dr. Myers is a faculty member in the Department of Medicine – Division of Pulmonary Disease. His responsibilities regarding Medical Informatics include serving as liaison between faculty physicians and the computing support environment at Scott and White, support and development of the Scott and White Electronic Medical Record (EMR), and facilitating population-based clinical research using the extensive Scott and White clinical data repository system.
Dr. Myers is a practicing pulmonary physician. He also heads the adult Cystic Fibrosis Program for Scott and White/TAMU College of Medicine. He is active in teaching at the resident and fellow level. His current research interests include Syndromic Surveillance as a methodology to support national bioterrorism defense initiatives.
